Mechanical Walkway

Metronapoli S.p.A. - Linea 1 - Stazione di Piazza Vanvitelli

The autowalk or Mechanical Walkway (also known as treadmill) is a device that allows transport of people on a flat surface.

This is an application of the principle of the conveyor belt that according to the European standard EN 115 can be defined as “the installation operated by an engine, with an endless moving surface (eg, segments, carpet) for the transport of passengers between two points at the same or different levels of altitude.”

Autowalks are a safe and comfortable means of transport to improve travel times of large flows of people in large structures, such as airports, major stations, shopping centers, and wherever there are functional requirements that require the presence of long horizontal paths, both with gradients to be overcome (provided that they are less than 6°), and completely flat routes.

The KLRP model by Del Bo is extremely versatile, designed for any type of user, with solutions able to harmonize with and enhance the most diverse environments.
