MODERNIZATION

Thermic systems

The requalification of the thermic power system may be necessary in two basic cases:

the thermic power system is obsolete;
the thermic power station is not equipped with a new generation heater.

In Case 1 it is necessary to adapt the entire heating system, with:

- Requalification  of the area of the thermic power station;
- Installing a new thermic power station;
- Installation of new water system inside the thermic power station. This intervention involves the construction of new pipes with relative insulation and installation of all of the safety equipment;
- Installation of new electrical and temperature control systems. This project involves the construction of new electric circuits with the power switchboard and temperature control unit.

In the 2nd case it is necessary to replace the existing thermic power station with a new generation one.
Thermic power stations of new manufacture are much more efficient, i.e. they convert   a larger amount of the energy used into heat. They are also well insulated and therefore the scatter less heat in the room they are installed in.
Old equipments are often oversized and because of this they consume more energy than necessary. Moreover, many existing buildings have undergone work to improve the energy balance (the application of double glazed windows, thermal insulation of external walls and so on), thus making the performance of the old heater excessive.
The right size of the thermal power station is important: the size of the thermal power station depends on the actual building energy consumption, measured in kilowatts (kW) and in turn determined by the quality of insulation of exterior walls, roof, attic, unheated  cellars and windows, as well as the shape of the building and the climatic conditions of the place in which it is installed.
Thus, both for the design and for the redevelopment of the thermic power station, it is necessary to always resort to specialized firms, which use a technical department capable of running sizing properly.
Condensing boilers are now the ones with the most advanced technology, the most efficient on the market.
The technology used allows to recover part of the heat contained in the exhaust gas in the form of water vapor, allowing a better exploitation of the fuel and therefore the achievement of higher yields.
The condensing boiler, with the same energy provided, consumes less fuel than a traditional thermic power station.
